LTE Is the Future of Mobile Phones
rml695 asked:
LTE, Long Term Evolution, may replace CDMA & GSM in the US by 2010. This standard, based on GSM, is in testing phases by Verizon thanks to it’s GSM co-owner Vodaphone requesting they shut up, stand up straight, and respect their new GSM overlords (LOL). No, Vodaphone didn’t take Verizon over. What I mean by this is, since GSM is a much more adopted standard in the world, and is being adopted more & more by other countries, Verizon would have to fall into line. LTE is GSM’s next step. It will give the US a luxury Europe has had for a long time, and that we’ve had in the states with land lines: the ability to go with any carrier & any phone we want.
