College Sophomore asked: I’m planning to buy a phone soon and I’ve done a bit of research online already. I was wondering if there are any sites or places in the Los Angeles area where I can find information on Japanese phones that work. If there was a website that just listed the phones, or if there was a pretty well known place that sold phones, that’d be great.
I have a T-Mobile plan and, from the phones I have seen, I’m liking the Softbank Sharps.

I noticed how a lot of old mobiles fetch huge prices when auctioned on eBay and I can’t for the life of me figure out why ?! eg. A ‘used Sony Erricson W550i with minor scratches’ recently achieved over £1200 when the same NEW phone on Amazon is retailing at £85. I just can’t work out why. There are lots of examples of old phones selling for astronomical amounts. Anyone understand why?
